T-Cup Topple
I would like to thank everyone who came out and supported the Nursing vs. Rehab Tea-cup football game last Thursday. Our nurses did the school proud as great competitors keeping those Rehab girls on their toes. In this close and exciting game, Rehab won the decorated Tea-Cup trophy 21-6. A very big thank you goes out to Caroline Sumner (Term 3) for all her hard work in organizing the successful event. Hopefully this will continue as an annual SoN tradition as it has in years past. Also, many thanks to Anamaria Basic (Term 1) for organization the BBQ fundraiser that raised money for Children's Hospital. The biggest thanks goes out to those faculty members who came out and cheered on their students so proudly! In the words of UBC School of Nursing director Sally Thorne, our team gave their "total heart and soul" to the game and she commended the team's effort.

T-Cup Football Game Oct. 23
T-Cup Football Game!!
We are proud to present the return of the annual T-Cup football game where the ladies in UBC nursing take on the women in Rehab Sciences! We have partnered with the BC Children’s Hospital and will be fundraising with a BBQ and draws at the game. There will also be a half-time show with contests and prizes for fans, as well as a chance to see our male cheerleaders in action!
Game time is 4pm on October 23, 2008 at McInnes Field, which is located next to the Student Rec Centre at the UBC bus loop.
Hope to see you there.

And a grape time was had by all...
The NUS's Grape and Cheese event on September 26th was a blow-out success, thanks to NUS Social Coordinator Torri MacCuish's hard work and her Dad's help. We went though over 45 bottles of wine, something like 30 different kinds of cheese, and the fondue and chocolate fountains were a hit! With upwards of 70 people attending, we actually ran out of wine glasses and started using Martini/Champagne glasses! With only 1 broken glass (don't worry, I won't say who) we declare this night to be one of the best events the NUS has put on. Here's hoping that Torri and her Dad invite us all back to their AMAZING home. Thanks to all who came out, it was great to see the different Terms mingling, and Cathy Ebbehoj is always a crowd pleaser. Cheers to all, let's do it again!
